- Vernier Springs & Pressings prides itself on the quality of its product and delivery of goods on time all over the world.
- Approved to IS0 9002 in October 1991 the company quickly saw the benefit of operating a good Quality Management System. Through Vernier’s commitment to never ending improvements the company were approved to QS9000 in March 1997. Vernier gained approval to ISO/TS 16949 in May 2004 becoming the first UK spring & presswork company to achieve this standard.
- With ever increasing awareness of the environment Vernier are currently working towards obtaining ISO 14001. The environment manual is in place and approval should be gained within the next twelve months.
- Full SPC utilisation is undertaken on critical characteristics backed up with data from statistical packages like Minitab and Excel.
MicroStudio Torsion Meter
Here at Vernier Springs and Pressings we are very proud of our client base who rely upon our attention to detail and quality control day in and day out to ensure all our springs are fit for purpose and perform as intended over the life span of the products they go into. To ensure that quality is maintained we have a variety of testing and measurement tools such as the Microstudio Torque Meter for testing the life of compression, extension, and torsion springs.
Keyence – Image dimensions measuring system
Our Keyence Image Dimension Measurement equipment enables large volumes of springs to be checked quickly ensuring high production standards are maintained day in day out, week in week out. This helps with the high quality volume spring jobs we deliver for our clients.
Starrett – HE400 Horizontal Profile Projector
For close inspection work the Starrett HE400 Horizontal Profile Projector offers a versatile accurate solution for non-contact measurement. Should the need arise the system can also be used to reverse engineer springs and similar items.
